The Elderly Home in Udupila Delgoda was established on January 07, 1963. The land area is 1.115 acres. Records say that this was donated by Mr. Baron Appuhami, Don of Amarakon Appuhamila. The late Atula Hettiarachchi was the first developer of this nursing home. It is stated in the history written by him that the present building was opened in 1989.

This home has won the first place in the competition held by the Department of Social Services to improve standardization and quality in the Gampaha district of the Western Province.
